5 Reasons Why Wedding Headbands Are Best
There are so many different types of bridal hair accessories available now and so many places to buy them. So it’s only natural that you may feel a little overwhelmed by all the choices and not know exactly how or where to begin. To help, we thought we would give you our view on why we think wedding headbands are better than other types of bridal hair accessories. If you disagree with our point of view, feel free to leave a comment.
1. Wedding headbands may be relatively new in the bridal world, but they’ve made a huge impact, with more and more brides choosing wedding headbands over more traditional headpieces like wedding tiaras or bridal combs. As whimsical as they are romantic, wedding headbands are the perfect accent to less traditional bridal gowns like sheath wedding dresses and vintage style wedding dresses. What’s particularly wonderful about these wedding headpieces is that they are a very versatile option. They’re compatible with nearly any hairstyle, from hair that’s worn long and loose to short hairstyles and updos. For brides wearing their hair down, wedding headbands are a beautiful way to keep the hair away from the face.
2. Wedding headbands can also be used again and again. After the wedding, they can be worn to dress up a casual outfit, or to accessorize a gorgeous evening gown if attending a formal occasion. One may argue that other bridal hair accessories can also be used in the same way, but they usually require the hair to be styled in a particular way for them to look perfect and stay in properly. If you’re able to do this, that’s great! But for most of us who prefer to brush our hair and go, then the radiant wedding headband is a great choice.
3. Wedding headbands make great accent headpieces for your bridesmaids, too. Unlike wedding tiaras which seem to be just for the bride, wedding headbands can be worn by the bride and the bridesmaids. This means that when it comes to choosing bridal hair accessories for you and your bridesmaids, you can have coordinating headbands. This doesn’t mean that you all wear the same one, but the bride could wear a more elaborate wedding headband and the bridesmaids a daintier version of your own. To maximize the beauty of your bridesmaids’ wedding headbands, simply choose headbands that harmonize with your bridal gown and other accessories, and know that you’ll get a lot of impact in a little package. Wedding headbands are also usually less expensive than tiaras.
4. As with any bridal accessory, a bride-to-be should look for a wedding headband that enhances her overall look. Satin ribbon headbands are soft and feminine, while crystal side-accented headpieces with asymmetrical embellishments are definitely very trendy. Pearl side-accented headpieces can frame a more sophisticated bridal hairstyle without upstaging it. Gold side-accented headpieces have a warmth and beauty that many brides find appealing, and when paired with pearls, Austrian rhinestones or Swarovski Crystals, they truly come into their own.
5. Simply put, a wedding headband is a canvas that can become anything with the right embellishments. From simple to elaborate, there is a wedding headband for every style of bride!
